Multi-Cultural School Assembly

During our third cultural assembly of the year, we were excited to enjoy and learn about Somali culture through music and dancing. Our guest, Dalmar Yare is a favorite in the Somali music scene and a highly sought-after singer at Somali weddings and cultural celebrations. His fan base on social media reaches the hundreds of thousands. Dalmar’s thoughts about culture and music are that “Somali culture has a lot of ways to proceed and American culture is the same, “…music is an international language. It helps people come together and feel what you are saying. Food Drive

The CMSW Student Council and the Be the Change school group are collecting non-perishable food items from Mon. 12/3 – Tues. 12/18.
