National History Day – 7 State Qualifiers

CMSW sent 26 projects and 50 students to the National History Day Regional Competition and had 7 qualify for the State competition on April 29th. History Day is an individualized research project where students select a topic, develop a thesis, research and build a project in specific categories to show their research connected to a theme which this year is “Taking a Stand in History”. Career Day Success

7th grade students had the opportunity to hear from guest speakers in the fields of engineering, tv production, medicine, finance, IT security, real estate, creative writing, law and education. Pennies for Patients Total

The generosity of CMSW students, families and friends is amazing! In 11 school days, students raised a total of $13,667.17 for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society! The CMSW 15 year total donation is now $225,545.84! Wow! Our West students are wonderful community contributors and we are very proud of them. Evening with the Stars

Mid-level State Honor Jazz Band

We are proud to announce that Lilly Paul (Baritone Saxophone) and Bobby Bellairs (Alto Saxophone) have been selected for the Minnesota Band Director’s Association Mid-level State Honor Jazz Ensemble. This is a tremendous honor for these two very hard working students. They will perform on Friday, February 17 at the Minneapolis Convention Center during the State Music Education Convention.
