Walk-A-Thon School Fundraiser 2023

West’s fall fundraiser is a Walk-A-Thon. The goal is to raise money for the school while promoting health and wellness! The pledges are a flat donation and 100% stays at our school. It is not based on how far or amount of time the students are walking. Any donation amount is greatly appreciated!

Thank you very much for your generosity!

Missed Curriculum Night? We have you covered!

Thank you so much to all who came out for our Curriculum Night last week. This is such a fun event for our families to experience middle school as a student and to get to meet our amazing teachers and staff. A special thanks to our Student Council advisors and members for your leadership and for supporting our families finding their way around West last night. Below are some pictures from the evening.

If you were unable to attend, no worries, I have provided two links below to a slide deck of information as well as a one-pager titled Tips for Families to support Middle School students.

Eric Songer receives Teacher of Excellence award

Earlier this month, West's Eric Songer was one of 30 music teachers from across the country who were honored as 2023 Music Teachers of Excellence by the Country Music Association Foundation in Nashville, Tennessee.

Now in its seventh year, the program was created to recognize educators who are having the greatest impact on their students, using the power of music as an avenue of change.

Eric's wife, Heidi, and assistant principal Mark Shoquist, were there with him to celebrate this special honor.
