Two West students selected to State Honor Band

Eighth graders Mike Conlee (Bari Sax) and Caden Gillitzer (Alto Sax) have been chosen for the MBDA State Honor Band. They will rehearse and perform with the State Honor Band on April 13-14 at Edina High School.

Mike and Caden were chosen after a rigorous audition process last fall. It is a very special honor to be selected for this prestigious band. Additionally, this is Mike's second consecutive year being chosen for the band. Congratulations to both of these skilled musicians!

West Knowledge Bowl wins champion award

Congratulations to the CMSW Knowledge Bowl team on an impressive season!

West’s six teams competed in their final meet Tues. 2/13 at Cologne Academy. Our seventh grade team won the Social Studies Champion Award for being the team who answered the most social studies questions correctly.

Knowledge Bowl is a season of academic competitions in which teams of six students race to buzz in and correctly answer questions about history, literature, math, science, current events, music, art, and more. We are very proud of this year's Knowledge Bowl competitors
